The conduct of data management gained significance in Turkey especially after the enactment of the Personal Data Protection Law no. 6698 (“Law no. 6698”) on 7 April, 2016. Since non-compliance with the provisions of the Law no. 6698 shall result in high administrative fines and even possibly constitute crimes designated under Turkish Criminal Code No. 5237, aligning the internal procedures of the data controllers and data processors with the requirements of
